Rhossili loop with Celtic Tri

So depending on how last season has gone you’re either returning from a month of down time after Ironman Wales or you might be considering taking up Triathlon or other multi-sports.
Whatever the answer, now is a great time to grab the bike and just go out and ride with like minded people.

This is what six of us did on Sunday morning, a nice social ride to the Cafe for a coffee, cake and chat, while staying active and starting to lay the foundations for winter base training.

We headed off at 8am, with no set times to aim for, or average pace to keep. It was a steady pace on the flats then when we hit the hills the pace dropped and we regrouped at the top until the last rider came through and headed off again. This worked all the way to Rhossili.

Chocolate Brownie and Coffee

We stopped off at the Bay Bistro with stunning views over Rhossili beach. There was a good choice of drinks, cakes and breakfasts at that time of day. While the cakes didn’t disappoint I think we all agreed that the sausage and egg sandwich looked a winner, and one for next time.

Time to head back and it’s always nice to return a different way, so we went through Burry and came over the back end of Cefn Bryn and back up over North Gower road.
